Casual and Conversational Voice Overs
Over the last 10 years or so, there has been a huge demand for ‘Conversational Voice Overs’, or ‘Casual Voice Overs’, which is way less ‘talk at’ and more ‘talk to’ the audience. It’s almost gotten comical how the trends have changed. Probably in 10 years you will just ‘mumble’ like you are barely speaking to someone while looking at your phone and that will be the demand of the times. We have done many conversational and casual voice overs for many happy clients and would be happy to do your explainer/youtube/e-learning projects.
Surprisingly, it’s harder to do casual and conversational reads then it is to do hard sell/screamer type reads. It’s basically ‘acting’ Many many times the directions come in as ‘pretend you are talking to a co-worker over a desk’, or ‘you are in front of a group of co-workers’, etc. Yeah, easier said than done.
